files with the same name that already exist in the destination. You can choose from the following options:
Show confirmation dialog - Prompts you to confirm the action for each file when a
file with the same name already exists in the destination.
Overwrite (replace the file in the destination) - Replaces the existing file in
the destination with the file being transferred.
Skip (do not overwrite, keep existing file) - Leaves the existing file unchanged
and skips transferring the file.
Rename (keep both files, rename the new file automatically) - Saves the file with
a unique name in the destination to avoid overwriting the existing file.
Permissions
The options in this section may require additional configuration for buckets created after April 2023 to work correctly.
Inherit permissions from parent bucket - If this option is enabled, files uploaded will inherit
the permissions (ACL) of the parent bucket.
Preserve permissions when overwriting existing files - If this option is enabled, S3 Browser will
maintain the permissions of the existing files during uploading or copy/move operations.
When this option is enabled, an extra request is sent to Amazon S3 for each file to retrieve the existing
file's permissions before overwriting it. This may increase the number of requests sent to Amazon S3 when
uploading or copying large numbers of files.
